Mid Valley Lock & Key was started from a person who started out as a key cutter in a key cutting booth in a shopping center parking lot in Glendale. He worked his way to manager there while while still going to college. He quit there to work for a friend who asked him to help him out and be the manager of a shop the friend just opened up in Encino on Ventura Blvd. Several years later his friend closed his shop on Ventura Blvd because the rents got too high. So he went to work at another locksmith company that was in Van Nuys on Van Nuys Blvd as the head locksmith in the early 80’s. He worked there till the early 90’s. In 1992 a friend of his asked him to work for him at his new shop called Mid Valley Lock & Key. He did. In February of 1994 his friend sold him the business and he still owns it till this day.Mid Valley Lock & Key started in the late 80’s at a office/retail space on Califia street in Van Nuys just off of Van Nuys Blvd. A couple of years later Mid Valley Lock & Key expanded and moved into a larger retail space around the corner on Van Nuys Blvd near Oxnard St. There Mid Valley Lock & Key stayed until around the year 2010 when it moved to Santa Clarita (it’s present location) and expanded it’s mobile service to include both the San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita Valley.
